CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI)-A single-engine aircraft crashed Monday afternoon at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO. The Monarch Fire Protection District confirms that the pilot was able to get safely out of the plane and was not injured.
The plane could be seen sitting sideways on the north runway with a wing tip on the ground. It appeared to have lost a wheel.
