Officer shoots Jennings robbery suspect


ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis County Police Department reported an officer-involved shooting at
Jennings Station Road and Halls Ferry Saturday morning.

Police say two suspects robbed an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, injuring an employee by striking them with their gun.

The two suspects took off with money in a white Nissan Altima and then crashed into a limo taking part in a funeral procession.

The suspects got out of the car and took off running with police trying to catch them.

One of the suspects was caught and arrested with two guns in his possession.

The second suspect ran through the neighborhood with a long gun. The suspect pointed his gun at the officers.

An officer shot the suspect in the leg.

Officers helped the suspect until EMS arrived. The suspect is believed to not have life-threatening injuries.

Police say they learned the getaway car was reported stolen on Oct. 19.

The investigation is ongoing.
