NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis County Police are investigating an attempted murder that ended with a suicide that may have been caused by a dispute over a house.
St. Louis County Police say they were call to a home just after 4 pm in the 800 block of Liberty Village for a shooting. There they discovered a 78-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to local hospital in critical condition.
Around that time, officers responded to another address on the same street for a house fire. That home belongs to the suspected shooter, 56-year-old Triandos Sherrard. Police believe he set his home on fire before or after the shooting of the 78-year-old victim.
Police say Sherrard then went a residence in the 2000 block of McMenamy, where he committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot.
