DARDENNE PRAIRIE, Mo. – The joy of the Christmas season was shattered in a St. Charles County neighborhood as a 62-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon in a domestic dispute.

According to Val Joyner, a spokeswoman for the St. Charles County Police Department, the incident took place around 3:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of Pinnacle Pointe Drive, located in Dardenne Prairie.

Police arrived and found the victim with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“They found the victim suffering from what seems to be an apparent stab wound he was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“It’s pretty unbelievable. I passed by just yesterday morning and waved to him; like I said, a super nice guy," said Ronnie Clayton, the victim's neighbor.

Police said they're questioning a second person involved in the incident.

“We definitely believe this is an isolated incident. There’s no threat to the public; no threat to the public safety,” Joyner said.

Justin Morgan, another neighbor, said the people who lived in the home were nice and hard-working.

Neighbors said they never saw or heard of any problems at the house before now.

“Since we’ve been here I’ve never seen any police car or anything like that," Morgan said.

At this point, no one has been charged and the name of the victim has not been released.
