Donation drives for flood victims this weekend in Arnold, Edwardsville

ARNOLD, MO (KTVI)- As the area's flood waters recede, many are working to help the victims. In Arnold, where historic flooding occurred, students at Fox High School decided they wanted to do something. They've organized a donation drive at the high school from 9:00am to 5:00pm both Saturday and Sunday, January 2-3, 2016. They are collecting gently used clothes and shoes, toiletries, and non-perishable food items. Fox High School is located at 751 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold, MO.

The students want area businesses to know that if they are interested in donating gift certificates, vouchers, etc., please have them contact Amy Endicott at

In Illinois, the American Legion Hall in Edwardsville will be accepting donations of winter clothing, baby supplies, personal hygiene items and pet care supplies on Saturday andSunday from Noon to 3:00pm. American Legion Post 199 is located at 58 S. State Route 157 in Edwardsville, IL. The drive is being organized by Illinois Angel Disaster Relief.
