ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI)- A motorcycle driver was killed and his passenger injured when they were struck overnight. St. Charles Police say that a motorcycle traveling south on N. Second St. was struck by a Jeep traveling west on Lawrence Street around 1:30am Saturday.

Both the 44-year-old operator and his female passenger were rushed to the hospital. The man later died.  The woman remains hospitalized.

The driver of the Jeep fled on foot.  A passenger in the Jeep remained at the scene.

Accident reconstruction officers are investigating and are actively seeking a suspect.
