(KTVI) – East St. Louis Mayor Alvin Parks gets bumped from the ballot. Monday the Illinois Supreme Court ordered Parks’ name off the ballot.

Our “You Paid For It” team first told you about the move to have his name removed.

Challenger Emeka Hicks-Jackson unsuccessfully asked the East St. Louis Election Board to take Parks off the ballot, because he didn’t submit the required number of signatures.

An appeals court also left his name on the ballot.

But the Supreme Court decided that without the required number of signatures, Parks name cannot appear on the April 7th ballot.
