ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – He growing Ebola virus is threatening part of the world’s chocolate supply.  The Ivory Coast produces about 33 percent of the world’s cacao beans which are used to make the sweet treat.

Even though there are no reported cases of Ebola there, the threat has forced producers to shut down the country’s borders with Liberia and Guinea.

The shut down is keeping workers from picking the beans as the harvest season begins.  Raising fears the prices for cacao beans could go up.
