ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The one year anniversary of the Mike Brown shooting death is this Sunday. Groups are laying out the events which will take place to mark that moment.

Many of the activties are of course focused around the anniversary of the Michael Brown shooting. Brown was shot and killed by former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on August 9th, 2014. Friday night, there will be a Mike Brown benefit concert at the Pageant. On Sunday, there will be a moment of silence at the shooting site on Canfield drive. There will then be a march from there to Greater St. Marks Church. That march will be led by Michael`s Brown`s father.

On Monday, a week from today, there will be what`s termed a day of civil disobedience and a national call to action. There are also events to acknowledge others who have been killed in conflicts with police including Vonderritt Myers and Kajieme Powell.
