Facebook friends meet at Lambert Airport for Thanksgiving Holiday

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - The day before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel days of the years.

People coming in town to be with loved ones for the holidays.

At St. Louis Lambert Airport one woman was waiting for a loved one from the other side of the world.

Susan Dorris was waiting for her friend Carol's flight to land from Australia.

After a long 17-hour flight Carol arrived in St. Louis with tears of joy.

Susan and Carol met on Facebook about eight years ago.

The two regularly Skype but this is the second time they have seen each other in person.

Luckily Carol's flight back home is not until after the new year.

Airport officials are expecting Sunday to be a very busy travel day and are asking traveler to plan accordingly.
