GOLDEN CITY, MO (WDAF) – In a news conference, the Missouri Highway Patrol said a body was found just west of Golden City at about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. They would not, however, confirm it is Adriaunna Horton, 12, who has been missing.

Now, Adriaunna’s father, James Horton, told reporters that she had been found and was not alive. One of Horton’s grandmothers also confirmed the body found was indeed Adriaunna.

Adriaunna, 12, disappeared Monday afternoon from a park in Golden City.  About an hour and a half after her friend reported she had gotten into a car with a man she knew, police arrested Bobby Bourne, 34.
