ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The family of 12-year-old Clinton Vorce, killed Tuesday night in a hit and run in south city, are remembering the little boy they say they lost too soon.

“He was just a happy-go-lucky 12-year-old boy that was worried about Pokemon and video games” said his aunt, Heather Ashby, “He loved hoverboards and just being outside, hanging with the kids” she said.

Ashby says since learning of the tragic death of her nephew, her family, especially Clinton’s mom has been devastated.

“Very upset. Angry. I think that she’s finding a little bit of closure now that they’ve at least found the car and can hopefully bring him to justice and get some closer for her” Ashby said.

St. Louis Police have located the red Audi they say was involved in the hit and run and are questioning the driver.  Ashby says for this family, justice means making sure no other family has to endure this same pain.

“That there’s not somebody out there that can hit and leave a 12-year-old boy on the side of the road” Ashby said.  “There’s a lot of children out here every day and I think if they find him and he serves his time it will bring closure to his mom” she said.
