ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Fans lined the streets in downtown St. Louis to say goodbye one last time to Stan “The Man” Musial. After the funeral mass his family had traveled with his Stan’s body from the Cathedral Basilica to the Musial statue at the stadium. They stopped to law wreaths and to pay their last respects.
Fans were there to give one last standing ovation to baseball’s perfect knight. As the family went back to their cars to go the burial fans broke out in song. Spontaneously, fans started singing, “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.”
It was an amazing scene as the family headed off to bury a legend and fans cheered “The Man” on to baseball heaven.
