Farmington Drug Suspect Shot, Killed By Police

There was a shooting early Monday morning between Police and St. Francios County Sheriff Deputies in Farmington, MO and a suspect. The suspect was shot and killed. A sheriff's deputy was also shot in the leg and not seriously hurt.

The incident happened at Karsch and Washington around 2:00am.

According to police, the man was wanted on drug charges and had missed court. Bail bondmen were looking for the suspect for about three weeks. The suspect was tracked to a apartment complex off Rt. 32 in Farmington. The suspect fired at the bail bondsman then ran.

A massive search followed that included Farmington Police, the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department, the Missouri Highway Patrol, and the ATF.  Authorities got a ping off the suspect's cell phone from the parking lot of drug store. The confronted him there and that's when the suspect reportedly opened fire, shooting the sheriff's deputy.  Officers fired back and killed the suspect.

A woman, identifying herself as the suspect's ex-wife, spoke with FOX 2 Monday morning. She said her former husband, 32,  called asking her to pick him up because the police were shooting him. She said she urged him to surrender himself the authorities and think of their son.
