WELDON SPRING, MO (KTVI)- A fatal accident claimed the lives of two men in St. Charles County overnight. FOX 2’s Paul Schankman is live at the Missouri Highway Patrol Troop C Headquarters in Weldon Spring with more.
The crash happened Thursday night shortly before 11:30p.m. on Route C, north of Silvers Road. Two young men were riding in a 1994 Dodge Ram Pickup when the driver lost control while attempting to pass another vehicle.
The truck left the road, crashed into an embankment and then overturned. Both men were thrown from the truck.
Both men died at the scene. They driver has been identified as Austin Moore, 20, of St. Charles. The passenger was William Lyles,22, of Troy, Missouri.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol neither man was wearing a seat belt.
