FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) - Businessman and former gubernatorial candidate Dave Spence is spearheading an initiative to bring 1,000 jobs to the region.

Called "Ferguson 1000" the initiative would bring job training, minority business development, and employment opportunities to Ferguson and the surrounding areas.

Some of St. Louis' largest employers like Centene, Emerson Electric and Express Scripts have already committed to bringing hundreds of new jobs to the area.
