CLAYTON, MO (KTVI) – A Ferguson city correctional officer is charged with having sexual contact with a prisoner.
Court documents accuse 29-year-old Jaris Hayden of having sex with a pregnant woman in exchange for allowing her to escape.
The alleged incident happened in October 2013 and he was arrested last Wednesday.
Our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report the arrest followed the filing of a federal civil rights lawsuit by the victim.
The woman’s name has not been released. Ferguson city officials have not yet responded to our request for comment.
