Ferguson police called to double fatal shooting

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – The Ferguson Police Department is investigating a double homicide at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Estelle Avenue.  Officers were summoned to the intersection around 7 pm Monday night.

According to police the neighborhood is normally safe, quiet and the intersection is school bus stop.  But Monday night the quiet was shattered by 30 to 40 gunshots according residents in the area.

Police say the 2 young men fatally shot were driving two separate vehicles.  Both victims were shot multiple times after being approached by a person or persons at the intersection.

The suspect or suspects escaped on foot or in another vehicle.

Chief Delrish Moss told Fox 2 that the department is talking to residents to see if anyone saw the shooting.
