FESTUS, MO (KTVI) - Festus homeowner Tom Edelman is still dealing with flooding problems from last July when flood waters filled his basement and left thousands of dollars worth of damage to his home. Edelman wasn’t the only one on his street, he says his next door neighbor who hasn’t been home in months is just starting on repairs and he worries about what new potential flood waters can do.

“I worry every time it rains after July’s incident..we all called it the great flood of 2015. I try not to think about it but I pray to the good lord it won’t get that crazy.” he said

Edelman also says that overflow from two nearby creeks converge behind his home and have a big impact on the water making its way to his neighborhood. At this point he’s just hoping Mother Nature will give him a break.
