Fifth St. Louis County Police Department employee tests positive for COVID-19

CLAYTON, Mo. – The St. Louis County Police Department says a commissioned police officer is the department’s fifth employee to test positive for coronavirus. It is unknown how the individual contracted COVID-19.

Potentially affected work areas have been thoroughly cleaned.

There are no other associated cases that the department knows about at this time.

The fourth employee in the department that previously tested positive has returned to duty. That employee served in a civilian capacity.
