ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Firefighters rescued a child from a burning north St. Louis home Saturday, shortly after noon. The fire broke out in a home near Theodore and Wren.

Eight people were living in the home, that including six children.

Firefighters rescued a 3-year-old who was trapped on the second floor, and a girl was rushed to the hospital with difficulty breathing.

Chief Dennis Jenkerson says, the family didn't have any smoke detectors in the house.
