ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The St. Louis Fire Department has been dispatched to the Eads Bridge on the St. Louis Riverfront for a fire on the bridge.

The public information officer for the department has tweeted that an 8×4 section of wooden planks on the bridge has caught fire. Firefighters have been lower to the deck where the fire is located to extinguish the fire.

MetroLink has been doing renovation work on train deck of the bridge. Metro is currently shuttling passengers by bus between 5th & Missouri and the Stadium Stations. Passengers may face a delay of up to one hour for service until further notice.
