FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – Firefighters found a body inside a recently burning home Wednesday. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office says they are currently investigating the death.

A home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at 2386 Hwy 30, south of St. Clair. Crews extinguished the fire and found a body inside the home.

The Sheriff’s office and the Franklin County Arson investigator were called to the scene.

The body has not yet been identified. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
