Firefighters rescue dog from icy south St. Louis lake

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Firefighters were able to rescue a dog from an icy south St. Louis lake Tuesday. The St. Louis Fire Department responded to Willmore Park, near Hampton and Jamieson, after they received a report of a dog trapped in the middle of the lake.

When they arrived, members of Rescue Squad #1 quickly entered the icy water and rescued the shivering dog.

The dog was reunited with a very grateful owner and is expected to be just fine.
