First Responders called to Alorton for water rescue

ALORTON, IL – First Responders were call to the intersection of 37th and Bond in Alorton Illinois for a vehicle submerged in a pond.  Authorities say a pick-up ran off the road into the pond just after 9:15 pm Tuesday night.

The fire chief for Alorton said there was only one person in vehicle, who was able to free himself, swim to shore and call 911.

The driver was not injured in the accident.
