BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI) -  The holiday season is about to get a little brighter. Bommarito Automotive SkyFOX helicopter was up over the "Shrine of our Lady of the Snows" in Belleville.  That's where FOX 2's John Pertzborn was ready to throw the switch, lighting the way of lights.

Focusing on the birth of Jesus, this unique celebration of Christmas features a mile-and-a-half drive with over one million lights electro-art displays and life-size biblical statues which tell the story of Christmas.  A unique aspect from other light displays around the Metro

Way of Lights opens tonight, November 21 and goes until January 2, 2015 and is FREE to the public!

Additional activities for a small fee include:    Children's Village, Laser Show, Souvenir Photos, Wreath Designers, Tree Room, Choir Performances, Animal Rides/Petting Zoo & Carriage Rides
