(KTVI)- On the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on New York City, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, PA, communities around the area are remembering the lives lost that day and thanking police and fire crews in their own hometowns. By day, those ceremonies included events like the March to the Arch. By night, it has taken the form of tributes tied to Friday night football.
We’ve put together a gallery of images from around the St. Louis region, starting at Francis Howell High School where an ARCH Helicopter arrived with the game ball.
