Forest Park Balloon Glow and Race this weekend

ST. LOUIS - The fun kicks off for the Forest Park Balloon Glow at 5:00pm on Art Hill in front of the Grand Basin. There will be live music, kids activities, and concessions.

Artist Boogie Child performs at 6 p.m., the balloons inflate and glow between 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., with the PNC Fireworks Finale at 9:15 p.m.

The Great Forest Park Balloon Race is Saturday. Festivities begin at noon. The race is the oldest and most well-attended, free hot-air balloon event in the world. Balloons inflate for launch at 4:15 p.m. The Hare balloon takes off first followed by the PNC bank balloon and then 15 minutes later, the field of 70 takes off in waves of three.  Closest one to drop the bag of bird seed to the big X is the winner.
