ST.  LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Forest Park is undergoing a major transformation this week in preparation for Fair St. Louis.  FOX 2's Roche Madden is live to show us how things are coming along.

Twenty-six food vendors from eleven different states will be cooking a variety delicious delights including burgers, brats and hot dogs.  Three-thousand pounds of hamburgers will be sold as well as 5,000 gallons of freshly squeezed lemonade.

For those of you with a sweet tooth, 4,000 pounds of funnel cake mix will be used as well.

Besides the standard fair food this year, the restaurant at The Cheshire, Straub's and Russo's will be in attendance.  They will prepare and serve meals like hand carved tenderloin sandwiches, chicken spiedini and crab cakes.

Fair St. Louis will be held from July 3rd to the 5th. Admission is free.

The Zoo will have extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in order to accommodate fair guests.
