ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- There are new developments this morning in efforts to bring Major League Soccer to St. Louis.

Our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report the group, Foundry St. Louis is offering to team up with SCSTL to build a new stadium next to Union Station. Foundry would pay $80 million in construction costs, eliminating the need for a vote on public funding.

SCSTL is working to get a measure on the April ballot for public funding for part of the stadium project.

SCSTL or City Hall have not made a comment.
