The response to our last half hour special on meth and heroin was so overwhelming, Fox 2 decided to take our coverage to the next level.

Heroin has been a problem in the African American community for many years.  This is not a new problem there but the trend in age and gender is changing.  More younger people are using heroin and dying from it.  Also more women are using.  We profiled a program called Basics that is saving lives in the black community.
