Garage Fire Leaves One Injured In South St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– One person is injured after a first alarm garage fire in south St. Louis.

This happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of Rutger at South Compton.

According to the St. Louis Fire Department, neighbors reported hearing an explosion before the fire.

The three car garage was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Two nearby homes received some damage from the fire, some of the siding melted from the heat.

One adult male was injured in the fire and was transported to a hospital. No word on his condition.
