ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Bike enthusiasts come from all over the country to ride through the historic streets of St. Louis this weekend for the gateway cup.

The gateway cup is a cycling race held in St. Louis Missouri over the Labor Day weekend where cyclist compete for cash prizes and national rankings

The four days of competitive cycling takes place in the heart of four unique St. Louis neighborhoods.

Organizers say it more than a race, the gateway cup offers fun for the entire family.

The gateway cup draws hundreds of spectators to see famous racers and race teams.

Organizers say it takes hundreds of volunteers to pull off the event.  The race will wrap up Labor Day.
