WENTZVILLE, MO (KTVI)- The first trucks of a new line of production at the GM plant in Wentzville will be delivered to dealerships today. There will be a celebration for a milestone at the plant and Governor Jay Nixon is expected to attend.

Production of the Colorado and the GMC Canyon at the Wentzville plant preserved or created more than 1,200 jobs. The production also helped GM add a third shift for employees.

It was part of a $133 million dollar investment to expand the plant for the 2,400 people who work at the Wentzville location.

The starting price for the trucks will cost around $21,000.
