Generation Z feels intimidated by ending text messages with a period

ST. LOUIS – A revolution against punctuation. Apparently the younger generation – Gen Z and Millennials don’t trust the punctuation mark “period”.

Social media experts claims ending a sentence with a period comes across as abrupt and unfriendly in an email chat or text.

A digital culture journalist says the period feels unnecessary and overly final. But an English teacher would say, if you don’t know punctuation you won’t get out of seventh grade.
