FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI)- A young girl has died of her injuries following a two-car crash in Florissant on Thanksgiving night. Around 8:50pm Thursday, Florissant police say a disabled car was stopped on southbound Lindbergh Boulevard near St. Jacques Street when it was struck from behind by a car driven by Daniel Meade, 31.
Several people in both cars were hurt, but a six-year-old in the car that was struck suffered the most significant injuries.
She was taken to Cardinal Glennon Hospital, but died Friday night.
Meade has been charged with Assault 2nd and Driving While Intoxicated by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and is being held on a $150,000 bond. Additional charges are expected Monday.
