Going Green: Parkway unveils compressed natural gas station

(KTVI) - It's a big day for the Parkway School District.  The district is going to unveil the St. Louis areas first compressed natural gas fueling station at a school district.

The district is already using some buses that run on compressed natural gas and more are on the way.  The new buses stand out with their green stripes and flat front ends. Parkway ordered 30 of the new environmentally friendly buses.

Some are already here and on the road carrying student.  But until now, the new CNG buses have been filling up at a station near Lambert Airport. But starting Tuesday, they will be able to fill up at the Parkway transportation center.
