WELLSTON, MO (KTVI) – Missouri Governor Jay Nixon announces a summer jobs program. for 2,000 low-income area young people. it will be led by the Missouri Office Of Community Engagement, in partnership with local Workforce Investment boards. Nixon made today's announcement during a visit to the Met Center in Wellston. The organization provides comprehensive job training, placement assessment and career development services.

Over the coming months, the Missouri Office of Community Engagement will work with employers to offer high-impact work experiences to help put young people on the track to success.
