GRAFTON, IL. (KTVI) - The Grafton Ferry is open for business again, taking boaters from Missouri to Grafton. The opening comes just in time for this weekend's “Shiver Me Timbers Tow-Boat Festival” on the Grafton landing Saturday and Sunday.

Dredging work on the Mississippi River was finished in time to allow the ferry service to resume between Grafton and St. Charles.

The ferry cuts about twenty to thirty minutes off the drive for folks traveling to the tourist community from Missouri.
