GRANITE CITY, IL (KTVI)-- An organization that helps feed the homeless was burglarized.

Outside Dog Ministries in Granite City had over 200 pounds of candy bars stolen.

The president, Terry Perrin, explains what he found when he showed up Saturday morning.

“I showed up Saturday morning to get some bread and I opened up the doors and it was kicked in.  I think they hopped over the fence and they loaded up with about 200 pounds of candy put it in the dolly and walked out the front door with it," he stated.

Perrin reported the incident to the Granite City Police Department, but no word yet on suspects.

He says the food pantry operates on donations only.
