EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Edwardsville city leaders and residents will break ground on the site of a new ice rink Tuesday, April 13.

The ground breaking was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 25 but was rescheduled.

The new R.P. Lumber Center is the final part of the city’s A Better Place to Play campaign which raised money for three new parks.

The center will have a state-of-the-art ice rink, track, exercise and teen center.

The groundbreaking begins at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
