Gunshot fired into room of sleeping baby

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – St. Louis police are investigating a shooting that narrowly missed a sleeping 3-year-old.  The shooting took place on Sunday, July 14th, sometime between 8:00 am and 10:30 am.

A 50-year-old aunt was sleeping with the baby at the time of the shooting, but neither the child or baby were awakened by the gunshot.

When the aunt awoke later Sunday morning, she noticed the damage from the gunshot and called the police.

Neither the child nor the aunt were injured.

An investigation is ongoing.
