(KTVI) - Meet the cutie from the QT. All seven pounds, 20 inches of joy, just wanting to get into this big old world.
"Adrenaline was pumping,"says Michael Moore.
Normally it's gas pumping at this QuikTrip in Berkeley near Hanley and Frost. But at 8:15 Tuesday morning little Malaysia Serenity was born in this parking lot.
The day started for mom Suzanne with labor pains around 3 am. So she and husband Michael headed to SSM DePaul hospital.
"I decided to go home to think I would walk it around," says Suzanne Moore. "Got home, the contractions were back to back to back."
So Mr. and Mrs. Moore made their way back to DePaul but got detoured because this baby was on her way and driver dad turned into delivery dad.
"She just slid right out into my hand," says Michael. "It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I couldn't believe it."
"To me it was a scary experience to have a baby in a car because it's never happened to me," says Suzanne. "It's only stuff I see on TV."
And now 2-year-old Mason has a new little sister.
"Have another one, Malaya, Malana, Mahogany, Maria, Makaila, Marshawn, Michael, Mikese and Michelle," says Michael.
"How do you keep them straight?" asks Patrick Clark.
"He's just learning all their names," says Michael.
"But I am thankful and grateful for my husband because he did a wonderful job," says Suzanne. "He did more than I thought he would be able to handle."
