(KTVI) - Pediatricians, medical students and pediatric residents from throughout the state of Missouri are heading to Jefferson City Wednesday morning to educate lawmakers about child health issues. 19 million children in the U.S. live in poverty. They often inherent stress from their parents concerned about jobs, housing and providing food for their families. The stress can be toxic and over time can cause children to suffer mental and physical illness.
