ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– A string of blazing hot days is expected in the St. Louis region this week.
Ninty plus degree weather will be the norm for the last week of August.
The area is under a heat advisory until 7 p.m. Saturday.
The weather has many people searching for ways to cool down.
“We are going to the Cardinals game, so we are making sure we are hydrated and have had plenty of water,” Stephanie Yates said. “It is hot and gross outside.”
Other people are cooling down at Keiner Plaza.
“We are just getting refreshed by the waterfall because it is cool,” Carmen Young said. “It is awesome.”
Cooling centers are also an option.
The Southside Wellness Center on Park Ave. offers free water, snacks and air conditioning.
It is open to anyone, but focuses on senior citizens.
