ST. LOUIS, Mo. – A local organization is helping people in both Missouri and Illinois heat their homes this winter. In just a few weeks, it will partner will a local fast-food chain to raise money for neighbors in need.
HeatUpStLouis.org focuses on helping area elderly, disabled people and low-income families with delinquent heating bills in the greater St. Louis region.
On Friday, February 9, Hardee’s will host the 18th Annual Rise ‘N Shine for Heat event benefiting HeatUpStLouis.org. On that day only, customers may purchase a sausage egg biscuit or an egg biscuit for one dollar each (no limit to the number available for purchase). Bulk orders may be placed in advance. Hardee’s donates all the products served during the event.
Volunteers will also be on hand to collect donations at 55 area Hardee’s locations throughout the region. Volunteers are still needed to help.
