COLUMBIA, MO (KTVI) – Law enforcement from the Columbia and University of Missouri police departments responded to reports of shots being fired at an on-campus gathering late Friday night.

The shots were fired near Traditions Plaza. Ambulances were also involved with the police response.

No injuries were reported and campus police said there’s nothing to indicate a threat to the university or students.

Campus police are continuing their investigation.

Police are searching for a suspect who is described as an African-American man with dreadlocks, standing 5’7″ tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen driving a white, four-door vehicle, with a partial license plate of W93 Z.
