ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – They've got four days until opening night, but these 44 students from 20 different schools are almost ready.

'Our show is completely produced, choreographed and musically produced all by kids ages eight to 18,' says Madeline Mauzy, the young director of the Arch City Theater Troupe.

This is Madeline Mauzy's third year involved with the arch city theater troupe, a non-profit group run solely by kids to help other kids.

'Arch City Theater Troupe is sort of the perfect opportunity as a high schooler because it focuses so much energy to true musical theater direction which is what I love, but also to charity,' says Alex Bush, the assistant director.

Every august the arch city troupe puts on a free musical revue, asking for donations at the door.

In ten years they've raised more than 200-thousand dollars for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

'Rehearsals are only two weeks,' says Bush.  'So we started July 28th with an August 8th opening.  So it's every day working 10 to 6 these kids are in all day working incredibly hard to put this show together.'

Today in the Kevin Kline Theater at Priory school, teens and pre-teens were tapping out all the last minute preps for this weekend's performances at John Burroughs High School.

'A lot of our kids in the cast are in the Muny this summer or have been in the Muny in the past,' adds Mauzy.  'We have one cast member that just got off a Broadway tour so our cast is very talented and driven and motivated.'

With four days to go till the curtain rises, you can bet your bottom dollar this talented troupe will be ready to raise you up out of your seat.
