MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI) - Police believe two break-ins Wednesday morning where the homeowner confronted the burglar could be connected. One happened around 9:30am at a home on Adie Road in Maryland Heights.

Police say the burglar broke a window and was confronted by the homeowner outside the house after the homeowner heard a crash.  The suspect then took off without taking anything.

About an hour earlier in nearby Overland, a homeowner confronted a burglar inside a home on Niblic.  Again, the criminal took off after he was confronted.

In both cases, the suspect is described as a white man with blonde hair.

There were no injuries in either case.
