ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Cardinals players and their spouses hosted a special game show themed party Thursday evening at Ballpark Village to help raise money for SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

The proceeds from the Homers for Health Game Shows event go toward renovating the fourth floor of Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, where the cancer care unit is. They want to make it more comfortable for children who are so sick they often spend weeks in the hospital.

Matt and Leslee Holliday said they often visit the children in the hospital and connected with many of them.

"There's a lot of really, really wonderful people that we'll be friends with for a very long time," said Leslee Holliday.

She and her husband thanked the fans for donating to the children who need all the encouragement and support they can get as they fight for their lives.

"If you can make a kid smile, it's definitely worth it," Matt said.
